Bella’s Escape

Long ago, when poodles were German duck hunting dogs and had not been bred down to diminutive sizes, parti-colors were common and accepted.  Later, for unclear reasons, kennel clubs in the United States and elsewhere banned the parti-colored dogs from registration, so they became rare. Baby Boswell

While clearing out some old pictures, I came across these of Boswell as a puppy. How cute was he?  For months, his eyes really were this milky blue, but later turned dark. I should have washed his face before getting him to pose. When you’re a farm dog, it’s all right to look a little scruffy.
